The Hooten Hallers - $12
September 2, 2023 9:00 pm - 11:59 pm
For the past sixteen years, The Hooten Hallers have been crisscrossing the country as inveterate road warriors, bringing their peculiar vision of Americana: a fiery, bluesy, rock and roll fever dream birthed in Missouri’s fertile musical heartland. They’ve put so many miles into the road that they’ve burned through multiple tour vans and left twisted metal and frayed rubber strewn across the road behind them. The Hooten Hallers are known for their incendiary live shows that must be experienced to be believed, taking the listener on a dynamic journey from explosively raucous blues to expressive three-part vocal harmonies to danceable grooves.

GA-20 clearly is on to something big. It’s a movement, a new traditional blues revival. The dynamic, throwback blues trio are disciples of the place where traditional blues, country and rock ‘n’ roll intersect. “We make records that we would want to listen to,” says guitarist Matt Stubbs. “It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric blues we love.” Stubbs, guitarist/vocalist Pat Faherty, and drummer Tim Carman have been at the forefront of this traditional blues revival since they first formed in 2018. It’s no wonder they skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Blues Chart.

September 15, 2023 9:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Night after night at their live shows, Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal leave it all on the table, bringing crowds palpably authentic music. This is a real working band; music for the people, by the people. You hear the veracity in Hoyer’s voice. You hear the strife of a guitar amp being pushed to its limits. You hear keyboards hammering notes home while emboldened horns soar over the top of a rhythm section akin to a freight train. The raucous funk and smooth soul emanating from the stage dutifully pays homage to the past soul giants while simultaneously charging forward, piloting themselves into the modern era. This is soul music.

Igor and the Red Elvises $12
Igor and the Red Elvises $12
September 25, 2023 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Igor Yuzov was born in Germany, raised in Ukraine and studied in Russia. He grew up in the former Soviet Union, where folk music was the norm and rock'n'roll was illegal. A rebellious streak, however, led him to seek out the forbidden music. As soon as it became possible, Igor left Russia for America with his “Folk'n'Roll" band Limpopo. Igor and his Russian friends became Red Elvises and gave street performances on Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade. As their crowds grew larger, the City of Santa Monica ordered them to discontinue their street performances. Evolving over the years, Igor’s music has been labeled "Siberian Surf Rock” which contains humorous lyrics and grooves that forces his audience to dance. Over the past 20 years, Red Elvises have constantly toured all over the world with occasional breaks to record new music and to participate in film and television projects.

Travis Larson Band - $10
September 25, 2023 9:00 pm - 11:55 pm
"The soulful fury of this talented three-piece, the Travis Larson Band, washes the stink of the recording industry’s lame offerings out into the gutters while unleashing it’s unique brand of instrumental rock fusion (think of a musical stew mixing a thick brown Rush gravy with big hearty chunks of Steve Morse and a dash of Jeff Beck).” Comprised of Travis Larson (guitar), Jennifer Young (bass), and Dale Moon (drums), TLB’s complicated phrasing, impossible timing, and seamless flow cause some to suspect that the band must surely operate from only one, albeit enormous, brain.

Lucas Parker Band + Jessica Paige - $12
September 29, 2023 9:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Lucas Parker is a rock / fusion guitarist and bandleader based out of Denver, CO. His energetic stage performance and unique style has gathered and held the attention of concert goers and electric guitar enthusiasts in the Midwest live music and festival scene for over 10 years. Lucas Parker Band’s music possesses the sleek precision of Steely Dan while still honoring the tradition of reckless abandon that is improvisational rock music. At the center is Lucas’ guitar playing, which can be described as putting ingredients from Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, and David Gilmour in a blender pressing shred. LPB has supported numerous national acts including: Andy Frasco & the U.N., Nate Smith & Kinfolk, TAUK, Ariel Posen, Marbin, Consider the Source and many more. Averaging a combined 150 shows a year coast to coast with LPB, Denver-based power trio Cycles, and KCMO’s Jessica Paige (Pitch Magazine Best Vocalist 2021), Lucas has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working musicians in the area. Lucas has appeared on NPR Tiny Desk with Tech N9ne, as well as having performed on stage with Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, Nikki Glaspie, Benny Bloom, and many others. Lucas Parker’s debut LP 0 to 60 is scheduled for release in 2023. With Jessica Paige as vocalist this band is outta sight and powerfully soulful a la Tedeschi Trucks.
